Wireless is the part of the network everyone judges you on. Nobody notices a well-built switch stack; everybody notices a call that drops crossing the office or a scanner that loses its session halfway down an aisle.

The sites we are called to in Dubai rarely have bad hardware. Eight stages that replace guesswork with measurement — on new installations and on networks that already exist.

Requirements before radios

We start with what the wireless network has to carry: user numbers and device types, voice and video use, handheld scanners or trolley terminals, guest expectations, and the areas where a dropped connection actually costs something.

Wireless site survey

Measurements taken in the building itself — signal behaviour through partitions, glass, racking and lift cores, plus the interference already present from neighbouring tenants and equipment. Predictive modelling supports the survey; it does not replace it.

Access point design

Positions, mounting heights, antenna types and orientations chosen for the space, with channel plan and transmit power set to control overlap rather than to flood the floor with signal.

Cabling, PoE and switching

Cable drops, run lengths, switch port count and Power over Ethernet budget planned alongside the access point design, so power and uplink capacity exist before the hardware arrives.

Segmentation and access policy

Separate networks for staff, guests and operational devices, with addressing, filtering, authentication and bandwidth treatment defined per group instead of one flat wireless network for everything.

Roaming and performance tuning

Settings tuned so devices hand over cleanly as people move — a corridor, a warehouse aisle, a lift lobby — rather than holding on to a distant access point until the session drops.

Validation once the space is furnished

Coverage and throughput re-checked after furniture, partitions, stock and people are in place, because an empty building and an occupied one are different radio environments.
