Cabling is the one part of a technology estate nobody wants to touch twice. It goes in early, disappears into ceilings and risers, and then has to carry every network, Wi-Fi, camera, door controller and phone decision made over the following decade.

Eight stages that turn a floor plan into an estate your IT team can extend without guesswork.
Survey and requirement capture
We walk the shell, the fitted space or the drawings and record what the design has to work with: comms room position, riser access, containment routes, run lengths, power provision, ceiling type and any high-level or restricted areas.
Outlet and coverage planning
Outlet positions are planned around how the space will actually be used — desks, meeting rooms, printers, access points, cameras, door controllers, screens and machinery — with spare capacity agreed rather than assumed.
Copper and fibre design
Cat6 or Cat6A horizontal cabling selected against run length, Power over Ethernet load and expected service life, with fibre backbones between floors, blocks or remote switch positions where distance or capacity requires it.
Containment and pathways
Tray, trunking, conduit and riser routes sized for a second pull, not just the first one, and coordinated with the fit-out and MEP teams so cabling is not fighting mechanical services for the same void.
Comms room and rack build
Rack positioning, patch panel layout, power distribution, cable management and labelling, planned so that the room stays workable through years of moves, adds and changes.
Installation in build sequence
Cabling installed in the order the building allows: first fix before ceilings close, second fix as partitions and furniture arrive, then terminations and patching.
Testing and certification
Every permanent link is tested and the results recorded. Failures are corrected and retested rather than noted, because a test record only means something if it reflects the installed estate.
Labelling, documentation and handover
Labelled port and outlet schedules, rack elevations, containment records and an as-built cabling drawing set, issued to your team at handover along with a walkthrough of the room.
