CCTV Maintenance and AMC in Dubai

Preventive maintenance, health checks and fault diagnosis for surveillance systems across Dubai offices, warehouses and logistics sites — so the footage is there when someone finally needs it.

CCTV maintenance in Dubai, in short

TKWIT Global maintains CCTV and surveillance systems for organisations in Dubai and across the UAE, including systems installed by other contractors. Scheduled visits verify camera health, recording and retention, storage, time synchronisation, network and remote access, and every visit is written up against a named asset list.

  • Preventive maintenance visits and health checks
  • Recording, playback and retention verification
  • Storage, recorder and time synchronisation checks
  • Network, PoE and remote access diagnosis
  • Fault finding and corrective repair within scope
  • Condition surveys of inherited CCTV estates

Surveillance systems fail silently. A camera drifts out of focus, a drive starts reporting errors, a recorder resets its clock after a power cut, retention quietly drops from thirty days to nine because someone raised the resolution. None of it is visible on a normal day. All of it becomes visible on the one day footage is requested.

Maintenance exists to close that gap. The point of a visit is not to confirm that the cameras are switched on; it is to confirm that the system would still produce usable, time-accurate, retrievable evidence of an incident that happened three weeks ago.

We maintain systems we installed and systems we inherited. If you are planning a new installation instead, start with CCTV installation in Dubai.

Maintenance Scope

What we check on a CCTV maintenance visit

The items that determine whether footage will be available, usable and defensible.

Camera health and image quality

Every camera confirmed online, in focus, aimed where it was designed to look and still producing usable images by day and at night. Housings, mounts, cable entries and lens condition are inspected where access allows.

Recording and retention verification

Playback and export tested per camera, and the retention actually achieved compared against the retention you believe you hold. Recording mode, resolution, frame rate and event settings are reviewed where the two do not match.

Storage and recorder condition

Recorder and storage status, drive health warnings, free capacity, overwrite behaviour and error logs. Storage that is failing quietly is the single most common reason footage is unavailable when it is needed.

Time synchronisation

Clocks checked and corrected across recorders and cameras so footage from different devices can be correlated. Devices that reset their clock after a power event are identified rather than left to drift.

Network and PoE health

Switch ports, PoE budget, link errors, bandwidth on the surveillance segment and the separation between surveillance and business traffic. Many camera dropouts are network faults, not camera faults.

Remote access and accounts

Remote viewing paths tested and restored securely, user accounts and privileges reviewed, default and shared credentials flagged, and firmware status recorded with a recommendation rather than an automatic change.

Power and environment

Power supplies, UPS condition where present, enclosure temperature and sealing, and cable condition at exposed positions — particularly on yard, gate and warehouse cameras.

Documentation and reporting

A written record of what was checked, what was corrected, what needs attention and what we recommend next, kept against a named asset list so the estate's history is visible over time.

Common Faults

What we are usually called out for

If any of these sound familiar, the estate is overdue a proper condition survey.

Cameras offline or rebooting intermittently
Footage missing for the period you expected to hold
Dark, blurred, washed-out or badly aimed images
Recorder alarms, failing drives or full storage
Remote viewing that stopped after a network or ISP change
Timestamps that disagree between cameras and recorder
PoE devices that will not power up or drop under load
Analytics or motion events firing constantly, or not at all
How an AMC Works

From condition survey to a maintenance contract you can hold us to

Scope, asset list and coverage agreed in writing before the first scheduled visit.

01

Condition survey of the installed estate

Before any contract is agreed we survey what is actually installed: cameras, recorders, storage, network, power and cabling, with coverage and retention checked against what the site needs.

02

Named asset list and agreed scope

The contract lists the devices covered, what preventive work is carried out, what corrective attendance is included, coverage hours and what falls outside scope. Nothing is left to interpretation.

03

Scheduled preventive visits

Planned visits at an agreed frequency covering the checks above, sequenced around your operating hours and site access rules.

04

Corrective attendance and diagnosis

When something fails we diagnose whether the fault sits in the camera, the cabling, the network, the recorder, the storage or the power, and correct what is in scope rather than swapping parts hopefully.

05

Reporting and lifecycle advice

Each visit is reported, and over time the record shows which parts of the estate are consuming attention and where replacement is more sensible than repeated repair.
